Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: Individual therapy for adults, complex trauma, depth-oriented and Jungian work, attachment, mood and emotion regulation, relational patterns, women’s issues, identity and self-esteem, mind-body connection, perfectionism and people-pleasing, anxiety, grief and loss, spiritual exploration.
Therapy with me is about slowing down, looking inward, and getting curious. I work well with people who feel deeply, struggle in relationships, and often wonder if they are too much, not enough, or simply misunderstood. You might feel caught between craving closeness and fearing rejection, or notice the same emotional patterns repeating in your life. My role is to help you make sense of what is happening beneath the surface and support you in finding clarity, agency, and a stronger connection to yourself. I am an intuitive, relational, psychodynamic therapist who shows up as a real person. My style is warm, straightforward, collaborative, and rooted in genuine curiosity and compassion. I won’t just nod and smile, I’ll be present with you through the hard stuff, celebrate your growth, and offer honest reflections when helpful. I draw from parts work, attachment-based and emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, and somatic awareness to support deep insight and lasting emotional change. I specialize in working with adults who feel emotionally stuck or overwhelmed. This includes those navigating painful relationship patterns, identity confusion, or the long shadow of early wounds. Whether you are processing the past or trying to feel more like yourself in the present, our work will stay grounded in the relationship we build and the inner resources you already carry. It is my lifelong passion to accompany people as they reconnect with their own wisdom and create meaningful and empowered change. Outside of therapy, I am a long distance walker, painter, nature lover, and curious traveler. Life asks a lot, and I believe play, awe, and creativity are essential reminders that we are always more than what we carry.

accepting new clients
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: Children & Adolescents, BIPOC and immigrant families, DC:0–5, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, identity development
Hi there! If your child, teen, or young adult is feeling overwhelmed by big emotions, navigating identity or life changes, or struggling to feel understood, therapy can be a powerful place for support. I work with clients ages 5–21, helping them process what they’re going through, build emotional tools, and reconnect with their strengths. Many of the young people I support are facing trauma, family or cultural stress, or challenges with self-esteem and relationships. I offer a warm, age-appropriate space where they can express themselves through play, conversation, or creative approaches that meet them where they are. I specialize in supporting BIPOC youth, immigrant families, and communities of color. My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, drawing from play-based therapy, trauma-focused approaches, mindfulness, and skill-building. Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with my cats. If you, your child or teen could use a space to feel safe, seen, and supported, I’d be honored to connect.

Taye Anderson (They/She)
Clinical Trainee
accepting new clients
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: 18+, Individual therapy, anxiety, depression, adjustment/ life transitions,
attachment, neurodivergence, relationships, trauma, LGBTQIA+; Poly, Kink, Person-
Centered Therapy, CBT, Narrative, and Strengths Focused.
Hi! I’m Taye! I’m a non-binary, queer, neurodivergent therapist who uses a strength based, feminist lens when it comes to therapy. You’ve done the work to show up for everyone else and now you’re wondering what it would be like to finally show up as your full self. Maybe you’re navigating the layers of identity, relationships, and life changes that don’t fit into neat boxes, and you’re ready for a space where nothing about you is “too much” or “not enough.” I use nature as a teacher—I find wisdom in the messy, nonlinear, and beautiful ways things grow. I believe healing can be nonlinear and even a little messy—and that’s okay. I feel that this gives us permission to be a little messy too! My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in empathy—I’m here to walk beside you as you discover your own healing and transformation. Working in partnership, we’ll set goals that feel meaningful to you, and I’ll support you every step of the way as you build resilience and navigate change. In our work together, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of agency—as we explore your story, shift patterns, and cultivate new possibilities. In our sessions, we’ll co-create a warm, safe space where your gender, sexuality, culture, and whole self can be explored openly and without judgment. Together, we’ll move from feeling misunderstood or constrained toward living with confidence, clarity, and self‑compassion. My approach is queer‑affirming, trauma‑sensitive, body‑positive, and deeply collaborative—I’m here to support you as you reclaim your voice and write your own story. I specialize in working with adults 18+, offering individual therapy. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, adjustment/ life transitions, attachment, neurodivergence, relationships, trauma, LGBTQIA+, poly folks, and kink. I utilize Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, Narrative therapy, and a strength focused model.

Janelle DeRubeis MA, LPCC (She/Her or They/Them)
Mental Health Therapist
accepting new clients in September
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: 16+, individuals, complex/relational trauma, family of origin issues, gender and
sexuality exploration, gender affirming surgery letters, neurodiversity, relationship/ interpersonal
concerns, socio-political anxiety, Anchored Relational, IFS, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Bowen’s
Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and ERP.
People I work with often feel disconnected from themselves due to past (or present) dysfunctional relational dynamics and systems of power and oppression. You may find yourself feeling stuck, caught in old patterns, internally conflicted, weighed down by shame, dissatisfied with relationships, and unsure where to go from here. My goal is to work with you in reconnecting to your core self by stepping into your truth and dignity. Within you are the “answers” to your healing; it’s a matter of having a safe environment for self-reflection and exploration. Therapy has the potential to be liberating. Western therapy models typically operate under ideas of pathology, power, and control. I take a non-pathologizing, person-centered approach to therapy; I see the person first, not a list of symptoms or diagnoses. Your strengths and survival strategies have gotten you this far, and together we can build on them. Sessions with me are flexible and collaborative, as opposed to being extremely structured and directive (unless we are doing ERP). As a therapist, I show up very much as my queer, neurodivergent, human self. I strive to create an environment built on connection, empowerment, and harm reduction. Folks tell me that they appreciate my authenticity and sense of humor. I primarily use relational, parts-based approaches such as Anchored Relational Model (formerly AIR Network) and Internal Family Systems to support you in reclaiming your sense of self and building more satisfying relationships. I am also trained in Exposure Response Prevention for OCD. When I am not working, I enjoy activities such as weightlifting, soccer, drawing, painting, and cooking. Being in nature is my happy place and try to go camping on the north shore at least once a year! Spending quality time with my chosen family is also very important to me, including my two cats Zoe and Jojo.

Jimmy Quach MA, LPCC (He/him)
Mental Health Therapist
accepting new clients in September
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: 17+ Individual therapy, Anxiety, Depression, Perfectionism, Neurodivergence, Life Transitions, Trauma, & Substance Use/Addictive Behaviors.
Life feels stuck in the same place. Inside, it feels like rush hour traffic, so many thoughts, so many noises, it can be so hard to keep track. Your thoughts are not the kindest and feel scattered all over the place. Your emotions make it feel impossible to figure out the missing pieces. You’re trying to start new habits and make life changes, but you keep finding yourself back where you started. These messages from society and life creep in and it feels like there is something wrong with yourself and your brain. Here is the thing, there’s nothing wrong with you. Sometimes, we adapt in ways that work. Other times, our tools backfire, making our anxieties and depression worse and we turn to other ways of coping. The systems we live in try to make us fit into narrow boxes that mask who we truly are. Our brains and bodies are diverse, influencing the ways we interact with our world. By recognizing our strengths and developing language for our experiences, we can learn to navigate our lives in ways that feel more authentic to us. In therapy with me, it’s a collaborative process. Your sessions will focus on exploring your life experiences and how they continue to impact your day to day life. As a therapist, I work from an eclectic theoretical orientation to meet a person’s needs in navigating the effects of anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and trauma. Together we will work on understanding how these experiences affect our expectations, relationships, and self image. I recognize the importance of addressing both mental health and substance use symptoms in holistic fashion and from a harm-reduction lens. My style incorporates experience across multiple settings, from residential/outpatient treatment programs to in-home therapeutic services. When not at work, I enjoy spending time outside, regardless of the season. I also love to be active, read, and spend time with friends, family, and three of the best cats in the world.

You might be carrying grief, overwhelmed, or big questions about who you are and where you’re going. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, it’s about creating space for you to be fully human. I’m Rosie (she/they), a queer and queer-affirming, client-centered therapist. I bring compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief in your innate capacity to heal and grow. I’m here to support you in exploring who you are, what lights you up, and how to live more fully in alignment with yourself. Working collaboratively, I will support you in unearthing the barriers that are getting in your way of feeling fulfilled in life; whether that’s relationships that no longer serve you, untangling yourself from your own self criticisms, the impact of feeling powerless or violated, or patterns rooted in early caregiving dynamics like parentification or role reversal. Together, I will support you in challenging your self-doubt and unhelpful beliefs that may feel real and powerful, however is not your authentic truth, and no longer serves your growth. I work especially well with folks navigating trauma, including the experience of preverbal and early childhood trauma, and the impacts of generational harm. I am passionate about working with people who have lived experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, learning challenges, school struggles, or feel disconnected from themselves or others. I love working with people who are motivated to make changes in their life but need help figuring out where to start. I also enjoy working with people who are navigating big life changes, pondering big questions, have a desire to feel unstuck, or want to address their familial wounds. I love working with folks who crave more play, creativity, joy, and connection in their lives. Our sessions will be tailored to you. We will collaborate in creating a space that is sacred and meaningful to you. Some days might look like sitting and talking, body-based work, art-making or play, building obstacle courses, or taking therapy outdoors. I work relationally and holistically, which centers relationships and strengths. My approach to therapy is trauma- informed, grounded in mindfulness, somatic approaches, feminist and social justice orientation, parts, narrative, and strengths-based practices. I recently completed a 200-hour certification program in Trauma Informed- Healing Centered Yoga. I have training in Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy (SMART). I am currently being trained in Anchored Relational Therapy. It’s an honor to walk alongside my clients—through the thick of it, the darkest moments, the most joyful seasons, and everything in between. I’m here to meet you where you’re at, holding space for your growth, grief, play, and transformation. Outside the therapy room, you can find me dancing with my kid and partner, doting on my senior cat, reading, dreaming, creating, and finding awe in the natural world through every Minnesota season.

Mariah Rodriguez-Reopelle MSW, LICSW (She/Her)
Mental Health Therapist/Board Approved Supervisor
accepting new clients in September
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: Neurodivergent affirmative approach, ASD, ADHD, Low Demand Parenting, 0-5 trained, trauma with kids 0-8, trauma with older teens/early adulthood 17-40, anxiety, sensory processing differences, attachment/relationships, and sandtray therapy.
Life is full of demands and stressors that may leave you feeling exhausted and uncertain about who you are or how you are supposed to fit in a place that constantly seems to meet you with shame and judgement. When working with me, I actively seek to create a space that honors your neurodivergence and uniqueness. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I am all too familiar with how ableism and neurotypical structures can become overwhelming leaving you with a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness. I am here to show you that you deserve to have a reliable and dedicated space where you don't have to mask, explain yourself, or pretend to be someone else. Though I do strive to ensure that my work is individualized and adjusted to what is needed in that moment, one thing that will not change are the values that design my practice including: honesty, authenticity, and being a teammate. Using experiential methods, I seek to support those I'm working with at their pace within lived action and self-exploration. I encourage sessions to be a time where you and/or your child can lean into their special interests and creativity as a channel towards better understanding themselves and the world around them. My therapeutic interventions often incorporate mindfulness and body-centered therapy to promote connection between body and mind. I find this to be essential as we are unable to learn unless our body feels safe, therefore it is our job to explore what we need and what it looks like when we are safe and secure within ourselves and the relationships around us. In this exploration I may incorporate sand tray or play therapy, especially for those who find it difficult to use mouth words during times of greater stress. Regardless of what intervention I utilize, I am always striving to remain trauma-informed and neurodivergent affirmative. I seek to empower others and guide them towards a confidence that allows unapologetic authenticity and self-love. When I'm not working, I am often playing video games, spending time with my dog and husband, listening to audiobooks or podcasts, and stimming to some music while trying to keep my plants alive. I love being outdoors and finding creative ways to repurpose things that others may more readily get rid of.

Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: ages 12+, individual therapy, neurodivergence (late identified and otherwise), parents of neurodiverse humans, anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem, complex trauma, inner child/family of origin/parts work
As someone who discovered my own neurodivergence later in life, I know how painful and confusing it can be to feel “different” and not have the words or support to make sense of it. I also know how healing it can be to finally see yourself clearly, and with compassion. I’m passionate about helping other neurodivergent people (and those who love them) unlearn shame, reconnect with who they really are, and build lives that feel more aligned, joyful, and sustainable. Whether you’re a teen or adult who is neurodivergent, or a parent or caregiver trying to support a neurodivergent kid, I offer a space where we can explore together. Our work might include talking, play, art-making, and a little bit of humor as we unpack hard experiences, reframe internalized beliefs, and make room for your strengths, needs, and values. Outside of work, I spend time with friends and family, but I also need plenty of solo time to recharge. I tend to rotate through creative obsessions, right now it’s puzzles, clay, crochet, and collage. I’m happiest near water and often found singing in the car

Lauren Black, MSW, LGSW (She/Her)
Mental Health Therapist
accepting new clients
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: 14+, Relationship issues, gender and sexuality, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, EFT
If there’s one reason I am a therapist, it is because I am deeply curious about people and love to connect. I want to fully know and understand your experiences, and create a space where you feel held. Some lenses I frequently bring to sessions include: how our relationships shape us throughout our lives, how our bodies and nervous systems hold our past and influence our present experience, and how systems of power impact everything. I’m especially excited to support clients around relationship issues (whether romantic, family, or friend), life transitions, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and exploring gender, sexuality, and queerness. Some therapy modalities and frameworks that shape my approach include: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, IFS techniques, somatics, mindfulness, gender-affirming therapies, and trauma-informed practices. But above all, I’m invested in finding the approach that will work best for you, and we can draw from some, all, or none of these to figure that out! Before becoming a therapist, I was a full-time climate justice organizer for several years, and I still stay connected to organizing and movement work in my personal life. I am queer, cisgender, and polyamorous and love being in queer community. At home, I love swimming, cooking for my neighbors, reading fantasy novels in Spanish, and being the fun auntie to my sister’s daughter.

Heron Kupser, MA LPCC (They/Them)
Mental Health Therapist
accepting new clients
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: 20+ neurocomplexity, disability, unmasking, gender affirming care and surgery letter writing, family of origin issues and estrangement
I strive to make therapy a comfortable and safe space in which you feel seen, heard, believed, and empowered to make changes needed to be your most authentic, fulfilled self. I meet clients where they are at and sit with them in a warm, nonjudgmental manner sprinkled with a dash of humor to help clients work through mental health struggles. I use an integrative approach, based out of attachment theory, with techniques from interpersonal process therapy, narrative therapy, brainspotting, and dialectical behavior therapy with an intersectional feminist and disability justice lens to provide individualized therapy to foster healing and growth. I believe embracing who we are as a Whole person is crucial to healing and coping with life's stressors; which often includes exploring how the intersections of living in a cisheteronormative, colonized, ableist, patriarchal, and capitalist society impacts our mental health. Therapy is a collaborative effort in helping you live your most authentic life. Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors with my pup, reading queer YA, watching movies and TV shows, listening to music and spending time with my chosen fam.

Mental Health Therapist
Not accepting new clients
Locations: Minneapolis and Virtual
Specialties: 18+, queer and gender-affirming care, trauma, PTSD, narrative therapy, somatic therapy, substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety
Hi there! My name is Abby Fields . I am a non-binary, queer, fun-loving therapist in training whose passions lie within the queer community, social justice, and body liberation. I bring a somatic- and identity-focused approach to therapy, specializing in working with queer folks, those recovering from addiction, and anyone seeking to heal from trauma. Additionally, I believe in the importance of the mind-body connection, especially in healing the relationship with one’s body. Somatic exercises are one of my strengths: accessible movement, bodily check-ins, and breath work will be supported where appropriate. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places, strengthening my mind and body through weight-lifting and Muay Thai, and adoring my partner and friends. I look forward to accompanying you on your healing journey!
