Interna is a woman and queer owned group private practice. Interna starts with community within its own four walls by having members vote on how the business moves forward and its goals within our collective. We value active community engagement across Minnesota where we participate in the communities we serve and collaborating with local partners. By having specialists who understand the needs of underserved populations, we aim to provide a higher quality of care and create lasting social impact.

Balance means living outside of black and white, good and bad, and being comfortable with the grey. We prioritize work/life balance, flexibility, and equitable pay for our team.  Through collective voting and feedback, we ensure that our team and clients are valued over profits, allowing everyone including our team, community, and clients to have their voices heard and their unique needs met.

We value providing holistic trauma informed culturally competent specialized care for a variety of diverse populations. We want to serve our local communities and the people that live there. Our services also extend to under-resourced communities, including BIPOC individuals, the LGBTQIA+ population, people with chronic medical conditions, economically disadvantaged groups, and non-native English speakers.

Our therapy from the ground up includes a social justice and transformative justice lens where we see the holistic view of how the systems in place can harm folx and increase their mental health symptoms. We are committed to and value continuous learning and unlearning of oppressive systems, and challenging the status quo in mental health care. By collaborating with individuals, nonprofits, and agencies focused on equity and social justice, we aim to build a movement for systemic change that elevates the voices of marginalized communities at local, county, state, and national levels. With a strong focus on social justice and equity, we ensure that our care is inclusive and responsive to the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities.

As a woman and queer owned private practice, We believe in challenging the mainstream theories of therapy which were traditionally created by white men. We believe in innovative therapy methods like virtual reality, somatic bodywork, and systems theory including how our society  impacts our mental health. Our holistic approach includes therapists who share and understand your lived experience, allowing us to address mental health from all perspectives. We prioritize transformative approaches to therapy and wellness, moving beyond restrictive systems like insurance.
