Comprehensive Psychological Assessments test for a variety of mental health symptoms and diagnoses based on your initial assessment.

This would include ADHD and ASD. These are done virtually with insurance at Interna. Private Pay ASD/ADHD assessments only screen for ASD, ADHD, or both and are done in person at Interna with master-level clinicians.

What is right for me?

Comprehensive Psychological Assessment is best if you want to use insurance, are okay waiting, and want to be screened for something other than ASD/ADHD. This is best if you want to screen for something outside of ASD/ADHD. This is best if you a child wants to be screened.

Private Pay ASD/ADHD Assessments are best if cost is not a barrier, you are okay not using insurance or don't have insurance, are only interested in screening for ADHD/ASD or both, and you do not want to wait on a waiting list.  

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You should check with your insurance to see if it covers psychological testing. We recommend calling your insurance company prior to testing. If you choose to use insurance, It can sometimes be a longer wait.  Billing insurance for testing means the testing can only be done virtually.

    Our in person testing is not billable by insurance and is an out of pocket cost.

  • Yes, we can bill insurance and do private pay for children 10 and older.  Please note this is virtual only at this time.

  • Yes, we offer ADHD and ASD testing in person by a master level clinician. This is currently private pay only at this time.

  • Every insurance plan is different, so we recommend contacting your insurance company before scheduling your assessment to understand your benefits. Some plans cover the full evaluation, some cover a portion, and others may not provide coverage. Checking ahead of time can help you understand any potential out-of-pocket costs and avoid surprises.
