What We Assess
How We Assess
Virtual Sessions
All insurance-based testing is done virtually over several sessions with Josh Montrenes, PHD LP (they/them).
In-Person Testing
In-person testing is offered for both ADHD and ASD at Interna. This is done out-of-pocket by master’s level clinicians.
Breakdown of the Assessment Process
-
Before Testing
Prior to testing, you will receive questionnaires and forms for you (or your child) to complete.
These help your assessor gather important background information and must be completed before the evaluation can begin.
You will provide insurance and credit card information which will be reviewed for eligibility beforehand.
-
Clinical Interview
Your assessor will meet with you virtually (or in-person for ASD/ADHD out of pocket assessments) for a comprehensive interview, which typically lasts 2 to 3 hours. During this appointment, you'll discuss your history, current concerns, strengths, and symptoms to help determine which areas need to be evaluated.
-
Testing Day
Your assessor will meet with you virtually to complete a series of standardized tests and activities. These may assess areas such as attention, memory, learning, problem-solving, processing speed, language, executive functioning, and other cognitive skills, depending on your referral concerns. Testing is individualized, so no two evaluations look exactly the same.
-
Feedback Session
(This is out-of-pocket and must be paid in full prior to this session)
Once your assessment is complete and your report has been finalized, you'll meet with your assessor for a feedback session. Together, you'll make sense of the results, explore what they mean for your day-to-day life, and answer any questions you have. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of how your brain works, along with individualized recommendations, resources, and practical next steps to help you or your child thrive.
Pricing & Insurance
We accept all major insurances except for Medicare, Tricare, Humana, and some limited scope specific plans Please contact your insurance company to learn about what is covered for you.
When insurance is billed, we use insurance billing codes which come back with your deductible, co-insurance, or co pay cost within 30 days. We run those payments as they come back on Tuesdays and Fridays.
We also have private pay/out of pocket plan with pricing listed for each assessment. If you are paying out of pocket, you are charged in split increments prior to each session. The service must be paid in full before the final session where the report is given.
