Cremisius Pavus, MSW, LGSW (ze/zir)
My approach to therapy is centered on collectiveness and identity. We are all part of systems that impact us in different ways, and these contribute to our unique experiences that shape the ways we understand the world. I am not here to pathologize very normal reactions to the ever changing landscape of our country. I recognize that the mental health profession has been extremely harmful to minority groups and I am committed to working against that in my work as a therapist. It doesn’t mean I am perfect, but it does mean I am committed to consistently evaluating and adjusting my approach to ensure I am continuously creating space that is welcoming and supportive of you.
Our sessions will be all about your individual feelings and experiences. Every single one of them matters. Your understanding of the world is shaped by them and we will work together to recognize how they continue to show up in your life. As we identify patterns together, it is up to you to decide what you want to do with them. I am here to offer affirming tools, validation and education to help assist you on your journey towards healing. I incorporate Trans, Queer, BIPOC and Fat LIberation, Disability Justice, System Theory, Narrative Therapy, Harm Reduction, and Psychoeducation into my work. Ultimately, I am about creating a supportive place that allows my client to escape societal pressure that continues to harm them.
I am Transmasc, Queer, Disabled, Neurodivergent, Indigenous, Fat, and an Ethical Non-Monogamous. I enjoy listening to music, squishing my cat, Mercury, and being in community. One of my favorite places to be is at a concert in the general admission section. Currently my playlists are filled with Sleep Token and Twenty One Pilots. I also enjoy playing video games, DND and I am learning how to play the drums.
Specialties: ages 18+, individual therapy, complex trauma, Gender and Sexuality, Neurodiversity, self harm, Fat Liberation, Ethical Non-Monogamy, Kink and Leather Community and complex family dynamics
