Allison Ruiter, MA (she/they)
Trauma, grief, and chronic illness can weigh heavily on both body and spirit. For those who care deeply about the world, sensitivity can feel like a gift and a burden, especially when it’s carried alone.
In our work together, we’ll use a holistic approach to help your body feel safe again, nurture your spirit through creativity, and ease the mental weight you carry each day. Healing often begins with radical self-compassion and meeting unmet needs. Practices like creativity, play, storytelling, and movement can help your nervous system find greater peace and balance.
My style of therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and holistic. I believe clients should have true ownership of their care plan, so you feel empowered, autonomous, and supported in building healthy self-esteem.
Outside of session, you can usually find me reading, walking my dog Zelda, playing music, or adventuring through a game of Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
Reaching out takes courage. If you’re looking for a space that honors both your struggles and your strengths, I’d be honored to support you, let’s take the next step together.
