Hello! Im Jack (He/Him/His) I am so excited and appreciative of the opportunity to work with you.  I bring with me ten years of direct service experience across the fields of domestic violence, foster care, hospital/emergency room settings, eating disorder treatment, substance use treatment, and individual therapy. You bring with you a unique perspective that needs to be valued and prioritized in order to make long standing change. I work to empower you to feel confident in your understanding of what is in your control and to lighten the burden that you carry with you.

We will work on being able to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions all interact with each other. Rather than trying to get rid of your negative emotions we will learn how to make space for them while still honoring your values. You also will learn to identify your existing coping strategies and problem solving approaches to see if you want to keep them the same, refine them, or stop them. These approaches exist as tools for you to use as you see fit and to help you identify what you need to gain a better understanding of your emotions.

I move at your pace, check in often about what feels comfortable, and welcome feedback if something doesn’t feel right in our work together. Therapy is not about fixing you or about stopping someone from ever feeling sad again. It is a place for you to work through and process your lived experience. To gain a better understanding of how different values and experiences can manifest in our day-to-day lives and to  learn what we wish to keep and what we wish to let go.  I hope that where ever your journey takes you it brings you peace and a feeling of support.
