Hi, I’m Jo! As a queer, nonbinary therapist, I strive to create a space where you can feel seen in your entirety, without having to hide or explain core parts of yourself. My therapy style acknowledges that systemic and social structures have a direct impact on our health, and I value space that is safe to name these impacts. In our work together, I trust that you are the expert in your experiences and we will collaborate to move at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with 16+ individuals, couples, and polycules who are healing from trauma, navigating questions about their identities, and learning to find more stability in their moods. I use EMDR to help people process trauma, shame, and grief in a way that feels safe and manageable. In our time together, I aim to ensure that you understand your therapy process as much as you need to feel comfortable and informed.

My background includes supporting survivors of relationship and religious abuse, working with folks to reduce substance use, providing community mental health support for individuals who experience psychosis, and helping people navigate barriers to secure income and housing.

I am passionate about community building, activism, and art. Outside of work, I am most likely spending time with my chosen family; including my two dogs, two cats, snake, and tarantula. I am a fan of horror films; creating music and attending shows; film photography; and tending to my 70+ houseplants.

If you think we might be a good fit, I'd love to connect!
