Joy Strunk, MA (she/her)
I believe that mental health influences every aspect of a person’s life mentally, physically and spiritually. In alignment with my passions for teaching and Physical Therapy, I utilize a combination of Somatic Therapy and cognitive processing techniques to foster a client-centered, empowering, holistic approach. I work with individuals and couples either in person or virtually.
As an LGBTQIA+ identifying and gender affirming provider, I greatly enjoy working with all types of people and believe every person has a unique and innate value. I strive to create a supportive and safe place for clients to explore, reflect and grow as they navigate the realities of grief, relationships, trauma, and other challenging life transitions during their healing journeys.
During my downtime, I love getting outside. Whether it’s going for a hike, camping, snowshoeing or reading by the lake, I find nature relaxing and rejuvenating. I also enjoy traveling, practicing Tai Chi, creating new DnD characters, and reading mysteries that feature lesbian detectives.
