Amanda Timm, MA, R-DMT (Registered Dance/Movement Therapist)
Do you find yourself stuck in patterns of anxiety, overwhelm, people-pleasing, or self-doubt? Maybe you grew up in a dysfunctional family, struggle with boundaries, or feel unsure of who you are outside the roles you’ve learned to play. You may be navigating trauma, sexual abuse, grief, substance use, or a major life transition that’s left you feeling disconnected or overwhelmed. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I work with teens and adults navigating trauma, sexual abuse, grief, substance use, anxiety, depression, codependency, boundary challenges, identity exploration, and self-esteem concerns. I especially support teenagers and adult children of dysfunctional families and trauma survivors, as well as people working through relational and identity patterns that feel hard to shift.
In addition to being a clinical mental health therapist, I am a registered dance/movement therapist currently working under supervision. My approach is person-centered and collaborative—you are the captain with the map, and I’m the co-pilot helping you navigate the terrain. Therapy with me can be primarily talk-based, and I may also integrate movement or other creative modalities when it feels helpful and aligned with your goals. This body-based approach can support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and deeper integration when words alone aren’t enough. All experiential work is optional, paced by you, and always guided by your comfort. My goal is to offer a space where insight, embodiment, and authenticity can come together in a way that fits you—not a fixed idea of what therapy “should” look like.
