Jackson Raynor, MSW, LICSW (they/them)

Hello! My name is Jackson (they/them) and I'm thrilled to join you on your healing journey. My practice and values are grounded in anti-racism, feminism, harm reduction, sex/kink/ENM-positivity, disability justice, and decolonization of wellness practices. I center my practice on your goals and definitions of wellness, and I take a collaborative and person-centered approach to helping you heal. If you are seeking warmth, humor, genuine curiosity, and the occasional challenge from your therapist, we may be a good fit.

In our work together, we will uncover how unjust social structures impact us and explore what it means to be human in today's world. As we explore the hardships and the joys in your life, I prefer to ask "what happened to you?" rather than "what is wrong with you?" Your strengths and survival strategies that got you to my office will be honored, and we will work together to help you set aside thoughts or behaviors that are no longer serving you. I draw upon my training in EMDR and TF-CBT, as well as from CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing to aid in your healing journey.

I am particularly passionate about working with LGBTQ+ clients as a queer person myself. I am also passionate about helping my clients overcome traumatic experiences, and return to finding safety and security in their lives. I have experience using therapeutic roleplay to support my clients healing journey, and get so much joy from using roleplay in both individual and group therapy settings.

When I am not working, I enjoy gardening, video games, reading, cooking, hiking, playing D&D, dancing, concerts, and music festivals. My chosen family, biological family, and friends are massively important to me, as are my two cats Lilith and Twyla.

Specialties: trauma, complex/relational trauma, LGBTQIA+ clients, polyamory/ethical nonmonogamy, anxiety, depression, life transitions, teens, adults, individuals
