Diana Pimentel, MSW, LGSW (She/Her)

Hello! My name is Diana (pronounced Dee-Anna). I am a fun, enthusiastic, and radical therapist here to walk alongside you in your healing journey. I have experience working within multisystem environments, including child protection, foster care and the child welfare system, at both the county and state levels. During my time working within these governmental systems, I learned about the injustices in our systems and the pain children and families experience when directly impacted by these harmful systems. I am a furious advocate for breaking systems and creating solutions by leading with a  community-led work model. As an AfroLatina, I know the impact of the multitude of systems, that work against marginalized folks, like myself every single day. As your therapist I will approach therapy in a non-judgemental, authentic, respectful, and validating way. In addition I understand that the systems we live in are not made for everyone and therefore, my approach to therapy is unique. I take pride in being able to take a holistic, client-centered approach. You will be able to guide your journey the way you think is best way for you.

When finding the correct therapist, it can certainly be a journey. Therapy may have crossed your mind before but you haven't found the correct therapist. Or maybe therapy has been associated with a system that has hurt you or failed to validate who you are. I am here to walk with you on your journey, in the way you prefer. As gentle, as slow or fast as you would like. You are the leader of your own life. Together, we can lead with curiosity, gentleness and respect. I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) therapist who can also bring culturally relative modalities into our sessions as well. Language is an important factor in who we are, our identity, and how we express ourselves. This is why having a cultural lens is an imperative priority for me. In addition, I have experience working with families and in intergenerational healing.

Outside of therapy, I am a daughter, granddaughter, traveler, nature lover and an adventure seeker. Some of my special interest include music and trying new foods. Life can be overwhelming and taking a breather, learning from each other's life experiences, and showing gratitude with empathy can maximize this journey that we call life.
