Jen Rynes, MA (she/her)
Jen believes that we grow through and toward connection in our lives. She strives to create these connections in her relationships with everyone she supports. Aligning with a humanistic approach, Jen asserts that individuals are unique, and it is important to adapt and change to the needs of everyone. Jen utilizes play interventions, and creative interventions to build rapport with everyone she supports. Jen works with individuals on building coping skills, and problem-solving skills to help with functioning.
Jen is certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Jen has worked in the community mental health field for 10-years. She has experience working as an independent living skills worker, a direct support professional, as a mental health practitioner, and as an in-home therapist. Jen has experience working with autism spectrum disorder, trauma disorders, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Jen enjoys working with children, adolescents, and teens. Jen is an LGBTQIA+ identifying individual and is currently working toward her LPCC licensure. Jen graduated with her master’s in clinical mental health counseling at Winona State University. Jen works well with children, and adolescents, and enjoys working with women and queer-identifying individuals.
Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, running, swimming, attending concerts, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, and journaling.
